The European Award for Architectural Heritage Intervention AADIPA, truly one of a kind, whose main aim is to distinguish patrimonial good practices and contribute to their disclosure, held its first edition in 2013 and in its second edition in 2015, which featured 200 projects submitted by teams from 25 different countries, it firmly established itself as an international benchmark.
The positive reception by the architects who have participated in the two calls and the collaboration of institutions and companies that have supported and promoted the event have made possible its continuity. On behalf of The Award Management Team and together with the organizers: COAC (The Architects’ Association of Catalonia) and AADIPA (Association of Architects for the Defence and Intervention in Architectural Heritage), we want to acknowledge the support of Barcelona City Council; sponsorship by the Government of Catalonia, Department of Culture; Regional Government of Tarragona; INCASÒL, the Catalan Land Institute and FYM, Italcementi Group; as well as support from friends such as: Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya, BarcelonaTech, Fundación Arquia, Architectes du Patrimoine, Veredes, Metalocus and Rehabimed. All of which are essential pieces for holding such a Contest that links all the experts involved in the interdisciplinary value heritage chain and which is committed to the disclosure, distinction and recognition of works and quality projects that contribute to the preservation of architectural heritage in Europe.
A much-appreciated labour that deserves a sincere acknowledgement for such valuable contribution, which we hope to ratify in 2017 in the 3rd call of The European Award for Architectural Heritage intervention AADIPA. Thank you!
